Saving Christmas Review and Giveaway

We were able to watch the movie, Saving Christmas starring, Kirk Cameron.  From watching the trailer I sort of knew what to expect.  Here you can watch the trailer below.

He brought out some very interesting points that some might not connect the Christmas story with modern Christmas traditions.  Parts of it are very entertaining and I did love the fact that the woman who plays Kirk’s sister in the movie is his sister in real life.  I think on some of the connections he tried to make, he was stretching a little bit far.  It would be a great movie to give your family some things to discuss about your Christmas traditions and who or what do they point to.

I will be offering the set you see below, which includes the following: A SIGNED Saving Christmas movie poster (by Kirk Cameron), the soundtrack to the film, and a car air freshener that smells like Christmas trees!

Saving Christmas Review and Giveaway — 8 Comments

  1. My family shares in the reading of the Christmas Story on Christmas Eve, along with the grandchildren putting out cookies for Santa and treats for the reindeer.

  2. Christmas morning, before any presents, my husband makes Alaskan Sourdough Waffles, from a starter that has been in their family since the Alaskan Goldrush. While he is making the waffles, the kids get to open their stockings 😉

  3. Every year since 1962, my parents have put up a large nativity scene in their front yard. Being raised with this tradition has caused our family to value the true meaning of Christmas now for 3 generations.

  4. For years we didn’t celebrate Christmas but now are starting up again. Every year since 1973 my Mom has given me a dated ornament and I’ve had them in a box. Last year Mom wasn’t able to shop for my ornament due to my Dad’s illness, so I’ve taken up the tradition and bought one last year and again for 2014.

  5. Two traditions:
1.)I have two children, and every year, I take them to pick out one Christmas ornament each that they like. I then hang a tag on it labeling their name and the yr picked. It’s nice as the years go by, to see their personalities emerge as well as what was going on in their lives as to what one might have picked. Then, I told them, that when they leave and move out on their won, they each will get a box with their ornaments. Like a starter to their own Holiday decor and nice memories. (BTW – I also sometimes pick out an ornament as well, because when they leave, we won’t have any ornaments left to put on the tree!! 🙂
2.)I like to make a birthday cake or cupcakes for our household, and we sing the “Happy Birthday” song to Jesus.

  6. For 39 years we did a birthday cake for Jesus Celebration on Christmas morning. The kids loved this, of course, because they got cake for breakfast.
