One Skillet Farm Supper

We like to eat very simply.  I love to cook and don’t mind spending time in the kitchen, but I don’t always have a lot of time.  Once our cow is in milk, then I add making cheese up to 3 times a week as well as other chores.  That is OK.  Just because you don’t have a lot of time does not mean you can’t cook a great, nutritious real foods meal.

Here is what we had tonight for supper.


I browned 1/2 lb. of our grass fed, farm raised hamburger along with lots of sweet onion and garlic.  When the hamburger was about halfway done, I added sliced Yukon Gold potatoes from our last years garden as well as some of our garlic.  When the potatoes were almost done, I tore up some organic kale and added it in and put a lid on to let the Kale steam a bit.  For seasonings I used Himalayan Pink Salt, Coarse ground black pepper, and garlic powder.  After we were already eating, I remembered that I could have added some of my homemade feta cheese.  This was delicious by the way!!!
