Big October Giveaway!!

Part of our motto or byline is “Where You’ll Find A Fresh Spin On Old Fashioned Living“.  This describes what we believe in and what we sell in our General Store.  Our ancestors used what ever means they had available to scratch out a living for themselves.  Many of them came up with inventions to help them get a job done with less effort or more efficiently.  I love to see large families that work together to raise and grow their own food.  I have watched large families in action.  Someone is clearing the table while someone else is getting the dishwater ready.  Someone else is sweeping the floor.  There is a saying that sums this up…. “Many hands make light the work”.

We have a winner!!!!!   Jenine H. has been chosen by Rafflecopter!!  Congratulations to Jenine and thank you to everyone who took the time to enter!!!

In homes with fewer children or the children have grown and moved out, the chores all fall on one or maybe two people.  There is less to do, but it all falls on one person so it takes longer.  That is how it is in my household.  I have some great pieces of kitchen equipment I use.  I call them my handmaidens.  These tools do a job either more efficiently than I can or they can do a job while I am doing something else.  I want to add here that large families can use equipment for better efficiency as well.  I don’t want to leave them out.  :)

A group of bloggers all got together and we decided that we wanted to give away one of these tools.  What does that mean?  We are hosting a GIVEAWAY!!  I gave a sneak preview on my Facebook page and you have been waiting to hear the details.  Well, here they are.

Come enter for a chance to win!!
